VCT Masters Shanghai

Riot Game’s VCT Masters tournament in Shanghai, was an electrifying event of fierce competition over the $1,000,000 prize pool in the iconic Mercedes-Benz Arena.

Massive sought to capture Valorant’s high tension, high paced action in it’s regional themed Chinese branding and stylized gun-fight cinematic. Inspired by New Wave Asian Cinema in the 90s, combining stylized characters, matted-painted environments, and cel animation, the team pushed the boundaries.
